Anime is an animated show or film that is made in Japan. The word "Anime" is the style of animation that is used. There's a lot when it comes to the history of anime so I decided to summarise it to avoid any boredom. Anime originated because of the events that happened in world war 2 which was the bombing of Japan which massively damaged them overall including economy which eventually made America win the war. After the war Japan-focused more on making anime as it helped enforce the Japanese spirit and started bringing in a lot more money. Although there have been some records of pre-war anime, the main source and records do show the spark to happen right after even somewhat during the war. After some time anime finally made its way over to America (ironic) to which it caught onto a lot of attention. However, this was the subbed anime which is anime with subtitles over it as the dub version didn't get made during that time. That is what then got the attention of several artist and voice actors and led them to want to create a dub version of it. A dub version of anime is when there is voice acting in a different language for example, English dub would be English voice acting. Slowly after that anime started taking over with shows like Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z and Yu-Gi-Yo coming over to the mainstream cartoon section.

What now?

Now anime is continuing to grow faster than ever with better shows coming out that have better quality and more detail because of the larger budgets allowing better equipment and time to make the shows. There are now many different genres in anime that allow a much larger audience to come in and have a look to see if anything is interesting. The images on the sides are a great example of some of the latest anime that has taken a large following over the last few years.

Here on the right, we have fire force which was created in 2019 in which the world is very different from our normal one. Fire force is an anime about firefighters that have pyrokinesis powers, which means they can use fire. However, there are different generations of these with the 1st gen being able to control fire and the 3rd to even create their own. In summary, the story is about Shinra which is trying to gain redemption over his dead family which leads to him joining the force and finding out much more than he signed up for.

And on the left is what we have our spotlight on which is My Hero Academia. A world where everyone has a superpower. Click Here or one of the tabs at the top to continue going through the site!
